The Federal college of nursing is providing B.sc nursing course. This is a 4 Years graduate study program which is affiliated to RGUHS, KNC & INC which has major emphasis on basic human science pathophysiological changes, scope of disease, treatment and research to develop a student as a professional nurse, educator and nurse practitioner.
Scope of nursing practice encompasses provision of promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative inspective aspects of care to people across their life span in wide variety of health care settings. Practice of nursing is based upon application of basic concepts and principles derived from the physical, biological and behavioral science, medicine and nursing.
Nursing is based on values of caring, and aims to help individuals to attain independence in self-care, it necessitates development of compassion and understanding of human behavior among its practitioners to provide care with respect and dignity and protect the rights of individuals & groups.
Under graduate nursing education program prepares its graduates to become exemplary citizen by adhering to code of ethics and professional conduct at all times in fulfilling personal, social and professional obligations so as respond to national aspiration.

- Admissions Eligibility:
GNM : The minimum educational qualification required for admission is 10+2/PUC/PDC examination or equivalent examination in Arts/Commerce/Science.
Candidate must complete 17 years of age by of commencing academic year.
Percentage: 45% (General Category) OR 35% (SC/ST-Only for Karnataka Students).
Maximum age limit is 35 years.
B.SC :
- A candidate shall be eligible for admission if he/she has passed the 10+2 examination conducted by State of Karnataka or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects, & including English or an examination recognised by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
- Has secured not less than 45% of marks on an aggregate for the above subjects in the qualifying examination referred to in subjects in the clause (1) and not less than 40% of the marks if he/she belongs to scheduled castes / scheduled tribes or other backward castes.
- Has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete this age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
- Candidates shall be medically fit.
